Committee Description:

The mission of the SBI Young Physician Section (first 8 years out of training and/or under the age of 40) is to ensure that early career physicians build a strong foundation for their careers that optimizes clinical care, advocacy for patients, and leadership within SBI as well as in the community. The goals of this section are to improve the YPS member experience within SBI by expanding YPS leadership development opportunities, providing physician wellness resources for early career physicians, and pursuing issues that affect the practice of medicine for young physicians.


Please provide a letter of interest outlining the following items:

4. Tell us more about yourself: your current position and responsibilities, professional interests, hobbies, etc.

5. Please share any other information which you believe may help determine your qualifications for the position for which you are applying.

**The position of YPS Committee Chair is also open. This position will work closely with the Membership, Mentorship, IDEA, and RFS chairs, while developing retention, recruitment, and engagement strategies for current and prospective SBI members. In addition to the qualifications listed above, please include in your letter of interest any leadership experience specific to the aforementioned activities.**
