Volunteers are the foundation for SBI’s growth, and its success can be directly attributed to the many members, past and present, who have generously shared their knowledge and expertise. You can make a difference by serving on an SBI committee. The call for volunteers opens in November, with decisions announced in late February to early March. A full list of open committees can be found under the "Volunteer Opportunities" tab at that time. Applicants must attach their CV and a letter of interest within the application form.
About Committee Service
Committee terms are as follows:
- Committee member terms are valid for 1 year, renewable for 1 additional year for a max of 2 years of service.
- Committee Chair terms begin on April 1 and are valid for 2 years, nonrenewable.
- Committee Vice-Chair terms begin on April 1 and are valid for 2 years, non-renewable.
- Committee members may serve up to 2 years with subsequent terms as committee Vice-Chair and Chair for a maximum of 6 years total.
Due to the large number of applications, applicants can only apply to one committee; and are encouraged to apply to their top choice for committee service.
